Welcome to the Hobbs Lab in the Department of Chemistry at Sam Houston State University! We are a laboratory focused on ascpects of organic chemistry, polymer science, catalysis, and green chemistry.

Summer 2017: The Hobbs Laboratory is the in the process of moving to Sam Houston State University!

06/2017: David's paper has been published in Molecular Pharmaceutics!

12/2016: Aubrey and Ashok's paper has been published online in Polymer Chemistry!

05/2016: Jonathon Grubb (undergraduate) recieved a McNair scholarship! 

 

05/2016: Ashok graduated after defending his thesis!

 

11/20/2015: Manasa successfully defended her thesis!

 

11/7/2015: Manasa recently presented her work at the SWRM/SERMACS meeting in Memphis.

 

10/28/2015: Manasa and Ashok recently had their article entitled "Toward the (nearly) complete elimination of solvent waste in Ring Opening Metathesis Polymerization (ROMP) reactions," published in Polymer!

 

09/01/2015: Ashok Kothapalli, Manasa Shetty, and Chris de los Santos recently had their article entitled "Thio-Bromo “Click” Post-Polymerization Strategy for Functionalizing Ring Opening Metathesis Polymerization (ROMP)-Derived Materials," published in Journal of Polymer Science, Part A: Polymer Chemistry!
